Greetings and welcome to Khānqāh! The purpose and aim of the server is to be an environment conducive to intellectual growth and enrichment for our members. We wish to use reason above all else to solve problems and questions, particularly regarding those of theology and philosophy. We wish this server to be a platform to gain knowledge, but also a platform to build our understanding where we are able to present and think over the ever-growing multitude of intellectual challenges which the human mind wrestle with, in the contemporary world. We wish for members to engage in serious and fruitful discussions about religion, politics, history & other issues of relevance today. Our goal is to facilitate learning & engagement with numerous topics, so feel free to share interesting readings, ask questions and start conversations. We also host a traditional learning institution, the Madrasah, where we immerse the average user in an environment focused on the pursuance of knowledge. An environment, not just for scholars, but for every Zayd, 'Amr, and 'Abd-Allah who intends to act upon the statement of the Emissary of God ﷺ: "Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim." We ask from you, in return, to strive in maintaining manners and strive in keeping this environment good. Casual chats are available for those looking to blow off some steam; the server hosts a "Workspace" for those who love to work or study in groups without distractions. A #counselling channel is there for anyone looking for advice. Plus, we are lucky to have a bunch of polyglots who frequent the #linguistics channel which is meant to facilitate learning languages. We also have members with a passion for computer and data sciences, if that's your thing, you're in for a treat. That being said, everyone is welcome as long as they maintain respect & we ensure that no discrimination will ensue based on religion, race or colour. Dive in & discover the rest for yourself!
